Ballet - Summer 2024
Description
Dancers learn ballet fundamentals at the barre, center, and across the floor. Class will work on posture, musicality, and the proper execution of steps. Dancers will be introduced to basic turns, moving steps, leaps, and work on flexibility
Dance classes will meet in the lower level of the theatre building
Classes meet once a week at scheduled time.
A Parent/Guardian must sign their child in and out.
Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottles.

Session Schedule: June 10th - August 8th
NOTICE : All Dance & Tumble Classes start 1 week later than Theatre Classes
No Classes: July 1st - 4th
Final Sharings: Classes will end with an in class presentation during the last week of class.
Price: Davenport Resident*: $80 | Non Resident*: $100
*Classes & events cancelled by inclement weather or facility emergency cannot be made up at a later time.
*DJT is a proud program of Davenport Parks & Recreation. Our programs and facility are supported by Davenport taxpayers. Therefore, all Davenport residents receive 20% off registration fee (capped at $20 per class).
Attire (The following dance attire is required for all classes and can be purchased locally or online. (There are no color requirements on dance apparel) All hair must be pulled back):
