Daytime Acting

Description

Thursday morning classes open to all! New, dynamic, and fun each session, acting classes can be taken time and again to expand foundational skills. Acting develops a student's ability to speak clearly, confidently, and creatively! This imaginative, high energy environment provides basic theatre terminology, improvisation, characterization, vocal technique and physical skills. The session concludes with an in-person performance!

Theatre classes will meet in the lobby of Davenport Junior Theatre.

Classes meet once a week at scheduled time.

A Parent/Guardian must sign their child in and out.
Students missing more than 2 classes may not perform in showcase without instructor approval.
Students must be potty-trained before joining.

Session Schedule: September 8 - December 4 (12 Weeks)
No Class: November 24-29 (Thanksgiving Break)
Showcase Day: Weekend of December 6-7. Exact format, days, & times will be announced by Week 3 of class.
Tech Week: December 2, 3, OR 4. Exact format, days, & times will be announced by Week 3 of class.
Price: Davenport Resident*: $125-145 | Non Resident*: $145-165

*Classes & events cancelled by inclement weather or facility emergency cannot be made up at a later time.
*DJT is a proud program of Davenport Parks & Recreation. Our programs and facility are supported by Davenport taxpayers. Therefore, all Davenport residents receive 20% off registration fee (capped at $20 per class).
