Description

New, dynamic, and fun each session, acting classes can be taken time and again to expand foundational skills. Acting develops a student's ability to speak clearly, confidently, and creatively! This imaginative, high energy environment provides basic theatre terminology, improvisation, characterization, vocal technique and physical skills. The session concludes with an in-person performance!

Theatre classes will meet in the lobby of Davenport Junior Theatre.

Classes meet once a week at scheduled time.

A Parent/Guardian must sign their child in and out.
Students missing more than 2 classes may not perform in showcase without instructor approval.
Students must be potty-trained before joining.

Session Schedule: June 8 - August 20 (10 Weeks)
No Class: June 29 - July 2 (Spring Break)
Showcase Days: Weekend of August 22-23. Exact format, days, & times will be announced by Week 3 of class.
Tech Rehearsals: Students will report to the Nighswander Theater during week 9 (August 10th – 13th) OR week 10 (August 17th – 20th) of class during their regularly scheduled class time. The schedule will be posted on our website by Week 3 of class.
Price: Davenport Resident*: $130 | Non Resident*: $150

*Classes & events cancelled by inclement weather or facility emergency cannot be made up at a later time.
*DJT is a proud program of Davenport Parks & Recreation. Our programs and facility are supported by Davenport taxpayers. Therefore, all Davenport residents receive 20% off registration fee (capped at $20 per class).
