Description

This style breaks traditional rules while focusing on abstract and experimental movement. Contemporary dance incorporates technique from modern dance, ballet, and jazz.

  • Dance classes will meet in the lobby of Davenport Junior Theatre.

    • 1002 W Kimberly Rd. Davenport, IA 52806

  • Classes meet once a week at scheduled time.

  • A Parent/Guardian must sign their child in and out.

  • All students must be potty-trained before enrolling.

  • Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottles.

Details

  • Session Schedule: September 12th-December 10th (13 Weeks)

  • No Class: November 23rd-28th

  • Presentation Day: Saturday, December 19th OR Sunday, December 20th. Exact format, days & times will be announced by Week 3 of class.

  • Tech Rehearsals: December 15, 16, OR 17. Exact format, days, & times will be announced by Week 3 of class.

  • Price: Davenport Resident*: $125 |  Non Resident*: $145

*Classes & events cancelled by inclement weather or facility emergency cannot be made up at a later time.
*DJT is a proud program of Davenport Parks & Recreation. Our programs and facility are supported by Davenport taxpayers. Therefore, all Davenport residents receive 20% off registration fee (capped at $20 per class).

Attire (The following dance attire is required for all classes and can be purchased locally or online. (There are no color requirements on dance apparel) All hair must be pulled back:
