Mia Nelson, Instructor
Mia's passion for dance started at age 4, and by age 10, she was competing with a local studio. Her teaching journey began early, and throughout high school, she was an instructor for several children's classes each year. As senior captain and 3 year member of the Davenport West High School dance team Mia led her team to compete at the state level in pom, kick, lyrical, and contemporary. She also attended multiple **NDA camps** and was instrumental in leading several kids' clinics with her team.
Mia graduated from the University of Iowa in 2023 with a Bachelor's in Exercise Science. While there, she had the opportunity to choreograph and teach a routine to members of Dance Marathon, the largest student organization on campus that provides financial and community support for children with cancer and their families. Mia is in the final year of her Occupational Therapy program at Mizzou and is passionate about creating an inclusive environment where every student and child has the opportunity to thrive!
