Lizzy Hughes, Instructor

My name is Lizzy Hughes and I am from Lubbock TX. I have been dancing for 18 years now! I competitively danced for the majority of my life and would frequently attend LA Dance Magic and Tremaine Dance Competition. At these competitions/conventions, I took several master classes, including one from Jojo Siwa and Paula Abdul. In high school, I was captain of the Pom squad and organized several dance camps for young girls who were interested in dancing!

After high school I had committed to dance Division 1 at Seattle University but changed my plans last minute to attend Augustana College where I am majoring in Biology and Neuroscience on the pre-med track. Attending Augustana was one of the best decisions I made! I became very involved in Augustana’s Dance Company, and I now currently serve as the Vice President. I am very passionate about not only dance but choreographing and I cannot wait to bring my ideas to life at DJT.
