Cayla Odendahl, Camps & Workshops Coordinator

Cayla is a Davenport native who comes from a family of two parents, two older brothers, a little sister, and many furry friends. A graduate of Davenport Central High School, she went on to earn a BA in Theatre Arts and a certificate in Event Management from the University of Iowa in 2024.

Her journey with Davenport Junior Theatre began with a summer camp in 2012, and she's been involved ever since. She's worn many hats at Junior Theatre, from performing on the Mainstage to working behind the scenes as a director, sound designer, and makeup artist. During high school, she served as a Junior Staffer and later joined as an AmeriCorps member. Cayla's love for theatre extends beyond Junior Theatre - she's also performed at Genesius Guild and Playcrafters Barn Theatre, as well as participated in high school and college productions.

What makes Junior Theatre special to Cayla is the warm, inclusive community. It's where she found her footing in theatre and made lasting friendships. The positive, supportive environment has played a key role in her growth, both personally and professionally.

When she's not at Junior Theatre, Cayla enjoys relaxing with a good movie, diving into a book, or rolling dice in a Dungeons & Dragons campaign. She also loves spending time with her curious and sassy cat, Winston.
