Meet the Staff Series: Ashlea Meyer

Meet Ashlea Meyer!

Ashlea is one of our phenomenal Dance Instructors at DJT Dance! We asked her a series of questions ranging from silly to serious in order to get to know her a little better. The informal interview follows:

When did you first discover your passion for theatre and dance? Was there one specific moment you can recall?

I was raised in it; I loved it.

Favorite role?

My favorite role is Piglet, because my counterpart was Pooh played by my brother.

What about a dream role?

May from Fool for Love.

How do you spend your free time?

With my family.

What song always puts you in a good mood?

Anything by Johnny Cash.

Who are your heroes?

My mom.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you were younger?

To dream bigger.

What is your favorite thing about Junior Theatre?

Seeing kids grow and have fun.

What do you love most about teaching children's dance?

Helping kids.

What is on your bucket list?

Going to Alcatraz.

How do you find inspiration?

In watching what people around me are able to achieve.

What was your favorite class in school?

History.

What's your favorite food?

Steak!

If you had one superpower, what would it be?

The ability to give free giveaways.
